He is a gentle giant. he towers over my girls yet he is the most polite one out of the bunch. he is so gentle with the girls too. lets them sleep ontop him. never lying on them. he will rest his paws on them very softly. he is sooo sweet.

Ok, time to fess up, I guess... We call ours the Raticules. (pronounced Ratty-cools). Yeah, it's silly, but the kids came up with it (or maybe I did and am refusing to admit to it) We thought it was fun... asy.

My babies. Or sometimes I call them my little bunnies!! In the right light they look like PEW'S. They're not really.

I refer to my pet rats (all MALES) as my boys, my ratlets or just my ratties, OR my stinkies!.. oh yeah. mine are usually referred to as 'the boys'. "well, we should head off, i have to go home and make the boys' dinner" which is usually followed by the question "can't your flatmates feed themselves?" When passing through the loungeroom or saying goodmorning its "gentlmen" with a tip of the hat (if wearing one). when battling for yoghurt dipped corn kernels they're definately the fatties. I have to refrain from saying "hello baby" ... my other half gets upset when he realises im not talking to him Which brings me to another point... Who has been chatting with their rats only to have someone overhear and assume you are talking to them? A few winners in this house are... "what the hell are you eating now" (blitz chews his new shelves) "yes? what is it?" (kamikaze begs for butter treats) which is always followed by whatever housemate with a stunned sort of mumble then the "oh dear god you're talking to your rats"

Oh my gosh, that made me laugh rxfntklkaxs. Its probably good I dont live with flatmates or I'd get the same reaction. Unfortunately everyone is used to me having converstations with my rats so there are no strange comments or mumbles lol. Instead of saying hello baby, have you tried hello babies? hehe then you couldnt possibly referring him! lol When I first get home or when I walk past a cage "where's my boys" in a super exited voice and they bounce around like mad and push and shove for my attention. Or some days they'll stare at me, yawn as if to say "too early mum, come back later"

Quilters call fabric packages that come in the mail "Squishies" ....so, if fabric is all lovely and "touchy", then it suits ratties to a T! ...and...... I probably made a complete berk of myself tonight.... I met Kim, and got to play with her faux manx baby....and rex cats TOO much fun, and I was quite happy chattering away to them, Kim's little man has TONS of personality!! Her cats are really cool too

My girls usually get 'beautifuls'. Hiya beautiful, how are you today? What are my beautifuls up to? All except one, Cookie, who normally gets called "You rat! You total rat" or "What you up to Cookie Monster?" I love her to bits but she has to have rat ADHD or something, she does not stop. If you take her out of the cage she will jump onto anything nearby and if you manage to keep away from everything she runs to the end of your arm and you catch her with the other, which she runs to the end of and you catch with the other, and so on and so on until she is sleek and shiny and you put her back in her cage totally exasperated LOL And THEN she usually runs in the wheel My boys are usually just 'da boyz' original I know, I also chuck a 'boy' onto the end of their names to mix it up a bit. Tommy boy, Gingie boy and Smokey boy
