A few times I have had them in my room when my boyfriend has been away, just to keep me company and by early morning, I have to move them out!! I think they try and get my attention to play, they are so loud But I would still do it again..lol

I've only ever had boys, and the only time they get to sleep in my room is when friends come down and use the fold down couch near my computer.
OMG I hardly ever sleep: run, play, jump, wrestle, chew loudly!! You name it they did it! I love 'em heaps, but defiitely separate sleeping quarters.

My rats live in my bedroom during summer because it's the only room in the house with air conditioning. They can be a bit noisy with their playing games, but to be honest, I don't even notice it any more!

My girls are noisy as. They live in my room, always have. So im used to it. The only time they really annoy me is when they shred the newspaper. But once its done, its ok. I shred it for them so it reduces the amount of shredding they do.
However my heart rattie Luna does chuck tantrums when i lock her in her cage, she will tip her water bowl out and then smash it down each level all the way to the bottom (its a 7 story cage) and then once she gets it to the bottom she clangs it around and then she starts the process with the food dishes and whatever else isnt bolted down LOL
anyone else's rats out there throw tantrums??

Hehe Luna is such a funny little lady, I love hearing stories about her.
As for tantrums, lazy boys dont have enough will power to chuck tantrums when sleep is easier!

my rats like to throw their food bowls/igloos down the middle of their 6 storey cage at night. so now we either cable tie things to the sides, or put the items on the bottom level
naughty ratties!

cable ties are so handy! lol we bought a bulk pack of 1000 today! i've had female rat owners tell me that their rats chew cable ties... i don't know what we'd do if ours started doing that, their whole cage is held together by cable ties!

My previous girls were banished from my sons' bedroom to the living room as they were so noisy at night.

my girls like to REALLY kick off the playtime at about 2am... I've taken to sleeping with the bedroom door closed now (I live in a small apartment and the cage is pretty much right outside lol). They also pick that time of night to start munching away on pasta... that gets quite loud too
