I did a search, and was surprised to find nothing on the subject.
I'm running low on ideas for toys for my rats - does anyone have any toys that their rats really love or know a good place to buy toys?

I've had the same problem myself until I found this site: www.dapper.com.au/fun.htmhas heaps of ideas, you can make yourself out of things we would normally throw away (milk cartons, toilet rolls, odd/holy socks) and they have things for purchase such as tunnels etc. I've found it to be an all round great site... got loads of ideas from there. I've found a great seller on ebay that has many wonderful things that you could use for rats (and i have) stores.ebay.com.au/milliestreasuredpetsI've found that I look for ferret toys, bird toys, anything that may be of interest to our ratties.... There are other ideas too: I screw up newspaper page by page and put it in their cage, my girls will spend all night and day knawing away at it and make nests out of it, dapper.com.au recommends putting treats into it so they get an added reward. I get bird treats and hang them from their cage so they have to climb to eat them, they love this I poke food through the tops of their cage and let them climb to try and get the food, that's fun to watch too. I read to get the old tyres (on milliespestchest) or a food holder and put a carrot or something in it and make them find a way to chew around it to get to the food... they love this. Put an old towel or something old on top of their cage and let them chew and chew... never fails to amuse! Hope these ideas help
