Well my hunt for a Rex rat continues... If anyone knows of a breeder would you be able to let me know. My housemate and i are currently looking to expand our little family so we have started the construction of a Rat Grotto. A kingdom of sorts for our little rattykins. I have been wanting a Rex or a double rex for ages now and would love to adopt one into my family. So if you are able to help please let me know. I would love you forever =) Thanks a heap Mikki

I'll be doing some rex litters later on in the year... if you are willing to wait I can guarentee you a rex baby. I'm currently trying to get a single rex female pregnant but she has been with a male for a few weeks now without success... So I dont know if she infertile or just not compatible with the male she is with.... but babies from her litter would be just single rex babies as the male is a standard. Most single rex rats dont have fantastic coats... many are actually confused with standard coats because there isnt much curl in a single rex. Double rex rats have better curls... and Patchwork rex rats can have good curls in the bits of coat they do have, but many people dont like the naked patches on the Patchwork Rexes. I currently have a Patchwork who was basically naked all over, but is now getting a lovely coat all over, then during his next molt he could become naked all over again or just naked in some patches. I totally love Patchwork rats because of that unknow coat factor.
