Hi,
My housemate brought home some pistachio nuts today and we were wondering if they are safe for our boy rats to eat as a fun treat?

While i have never fed any of my rats any, i have not heard anything about them being bad for rats.

Thanks. I think I will just eat them myself and stick to foods that are known to be rat safe...

Hi Katie,
I have given my boys pistachio nuts as treats for years, I havent read they're bad or see any effects on their health. They love cracking the shell open.
I only give them one each once every few weeks.
