So I was sitting on the couch tonight with my two ratty girls when they decided to snuggle up under my chin for a nap and I was pleasantly greeted by their 'happy smells' Sniff and Jemima both smell respectively like Hubba Bubba and Corn Chips when happy. While my previous gentleman used to smell like Cinnamon. I know some of my friends who have had rats over the years have had anything from apples to rosemary, and some have never had any pleasantly fragrant rats (just ones that like to marinate a lot) I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone else had rats with a particular 'happy smell'  |

My girlies all smell like that artificial blueberry smell and Christie's boys (when they haven't been peeing on each other!) smell like corn chips to me. Both quite pleasant scents.  |

Oh yeah female rats just smell so sweet! I love the smell of them. As Zoey said the girls smell like blueberry's, and the girls i used to have last year smelled the exact same, like sweet blueberry's.
I don't really smell corn chips when i smell the my boys, i cant really pick what it smells like to me, but its certainly not a bad smell at all.

I have one boy in particular who smells like sherbet! I could sniff his rump all day long (if i was a girl ratty that is lol)

I find my boys always smell like corn chips o__O.
My boyfriend says they smell like my hair which is.. creepy.. I think it's just because I have long hair and the spend alot of time on my shoulders.. the smell of my conditioner must rub off on them! lol

My female rats smell like nothing o.o My male rats smell like pee.. they always pee on each other lol. But when they don't I find they smell like corn chips |

Well, mine seem to smell like blueberries after I give them berries (blue berry flavour) :DD. Na, my rats dont smell a particular colour, you could say my youngest smells like yoghurt drops.

aww thats soo cute that your girl ratties actually settled down under your chin, Katelin.
i didnt think that girls calmed down at all lol, i throught they were always on the move.
