No that cage isn't to big for babies at all. We put a litter in one half of this cage at 4 weeks old and they did just fine in it. The bar spacing is small enough that they cant fit through it. Though the only thing i would be a little concerned about is its a big fall for a baby from the shelf to the full level. So just place some hammocks around so that if they do fall off the shelf they land in a nice soft hammock.
Oh seeing as its only going to be 3 of them in that huge cage you could also just give them half the cage till they get a little bigger to. Just take the full bottom pan and use it on the top section. That way there is no hole for them to reach the bottom level. Then once they are settled in you can swap the pans around again and give them full access.

I love the ferret kingdom cages Theres also one called...Critter nation I think.....its basically the same but the bars are horizontal as apposed to veritcal, so the ratties can climb over them all they want

Yeah the Critter Nation is a new American cage, it would cost a fortune to get one shipped out here, if they even do ship to Australia. Also the vertical bars aren't an issue at all for baby rattys to climb. Yeah it makes them work a little harder but that would just help in keeping them fit i think.
