Hey im new and i have no idea how to make 10 posts but i know how to make 1! i thought i would introduce myself. So hi, im on the border of NSW and Victoria. Im looking to be a registed rat breeder in the community ive recently just bought a massive cage (Ferret Kingdom) to house all my ratties in, the cage is taller than me lol. I havent got any pics of my rats yet my camera always manages to have the batteries stolen out of it when i find them doing something cute. At the age of 18 i started a healthfood business for animals, by age 22 i had opened a shop and we are located in Lavington on Urana rd called Todd's Tasty Treats. www.toddstastytreats.com (hope im allowed to put that there.) Ive been telling my mum forever we need to start catering for pocket pets as im sick and tired of going to other pet stores and having to trust thier "healthy" food mixes. I recently also learned to use the sewing machine and since have been making and testing all kinds of toys for my rats. Im going to be making a website separate to the main shop website for my rats. I wont be selling my rats in the store, but there will be a photobook available that people choose a rat out of. I dont want them left at the store all the time as it gets pretty cold there in winter and really hot in summer. Litters and ratties will be available off my website once its up. Feel free to say hi back, i love meeting new people (i think thats all i can say for now i hope i didnt forget anything)

Hiya. I think its good you make and sell ratty foods, there really isn't much that's good for them out there. I get sick of seeing food that's labeled rat and mouse food yet its overly high in protein and full of crap. I tried to look at your website but the link didn't work. I'm also sewing hammocks and things for our Ferret Kingdom there is just so much space to fill. Its a lot of fun making things for them, not so much fun seeing them chewed to pieces in a week tho lol.

Cool site, tho i would really love to see pics of the products your selling, also information on whats in them and nutritional information. I wouldn't buy anything for my rattys without being able to see the protein content and that.

Hey there, welcome to the forum! Everything I know about ratties I learned from Christie - We're housemates and have been friends forever. The Ferret Kingdom cage is awesome, so much room! And the hammocks that Christie makes are excellent. It's really cool that you make your own rat food, there's so much crap out there and being new to rats, it's so overwhelming when I go to buy something for them. I usually end up panicking and asking Christie for help. Also, congrats on starting your own business so young! And having a shop must be pretty sweet. I'm off to look at your website now, nice to meet you!

When the rat section of the site goes up it will have listed all the ingrediants. The stuff on the toddstastytreats site is mainly dogfood and if you went into the store all the ingrediants are listed on the packaging. We will be stocking some other things for pocket pets as well. Thanks for the warm welcome

Haha yeah it seamed a little daunting to me as well. But it wasn't that hard. Just post in EVERYTHING lol. It doesn't matter if the thread is old either. Also i think with your website, if your going to be selling your product online (even the dog food) it would be a good idea to have a list of ingredients and nutrition info on the website as well. Some people might not be able to get down to your store in person but would be willing to order only online
