Oh I'm sad to hear that the Ferret Kingdom is rusting so quickly. I was really hoping to get one eventually. That's really sucky

My Ferret Kingdom cages havent rusted at all. Although my 4 are inside.
What do you use to clean it? Is it kept outside?
Maybe the N.T weather is affecting it in ways that Victorian weather doesnt.

I've got a Ferret Kingdom too. I've only had it since Christmas but so far I've seen no signs of rusting or damage. I'm in Adelaide though, and the humidity here is very low. This probably helps a lot

Yeppers, cant wait till we get one. Seeing as Zoey is now living with me and has fallen in love with rats to we have decided to go halvies in the Ferret Kingdom. She can have the bottom section (cause shes a shorty ) and i get the top half. I think it will work out rather well.

Hey, I'm a pretty average height.... In Canada. I can't help it that people here are freakishly tall!

I'm no freak I'm just built right to be able to reach the tippy top of nice tall cages lol.

Yes, yes i agree. Though i think that if you were to get one of these cages just for your self you would need to take the stand off the bottom to make it shorter. Its a good thing there is that option.

If I had one of these cages just for myself, I'd be so tempted to fill it with ratties!

Another options is to make your own cage "Grotto"
Nearlly all of mine are home made grotto's and have heaps of room and they love it. I know Kim has grotto's and I know of others who do as well.
The other thing though is even though I have heaps of space my rats all tend to crowd to the top floor regardless of how much room I give them lol. So my daughter and I feed them at the bottom floor to make them use the whole cage not just the top section. It also makes them work and move - particularly those lazy boys.

Yeah i have seen other peoples home made cages, and they just dont look as easy to clean to me. Also i hear people complain about them to, saying that they should have just bought one instead of making one.

Lioness and I just bought the Ferret Kingdom cage. OMG its HUGE!!! I'm so happy with it, though we might have underestimated the amount of fleece we were needing to make just two sets of liners for the cage, oops need to go back and get some more. It went together so easily (thanks to the help of my dad lol) its great. Now i just want to see pics of other peoples cages to get decorating ideas. There is a tone of space needing to be filled.
