While we enjoy having members from other Countries such as the UK, the USA, South Africa, and so on. I would like to ask that these members refrain from talking genetics in regards to types of rats available in their part of the world, as this is an Australian Rat Information forum, so other types unavailable here, only add to the confusion already in Australia about what types are available here. I would suggest that people look at the Standards section of the forum when they have full access to see what rats are available here in Australia and then only talk about those types genetically. For those of you who dont have full access please look at the following posts to find out what colour, marking and coats we do have. australianrats.proboards82.com/index.cgi?board=meetings&action=display&thread=40Please also remember that Australia colours can also be different to those in other countries, such as Cinnamon is different here to Cinnamon in other countries. In American they call Cinnamon rats thatthey import from Australia, Australian Cinnamon, because it is different to their cinnamon. The same goes from some blues, mink and other colours.

Agreed, it gets very confusing with overseas genetics. Getting your head around Aussie genetics is hard enough lol! I noticed some misspelling on the link, and a few things that have been missed out. Would also be handy to have a description of the phenotype as well as the genotype next to each one.
