Hi L.C, This forum is only about rats, as mice are not as intelligent as rats and you dont get as much love back from a mouse as you do from a rat. I'll send you a message with a link to a forum that does both rats and Mice. Kindest Regards, Kim

I have mice, and I do love the little critters. Most of the time they arent as clever and sweet as rats but i've definately had some sweet and loving mice in my time, that would do anything just to spend time with me. I actually had one girl chew out of a tub so she could sleep next to me one night .

oh that is so sweet, I'm sure some people might argree with Kim, as I have never owned a rat I can't comment. I must ask are rats as busy as mice, I no when I have cheeky out and she is in my hand she does'nt stop busy around up my arm in lap, I sit her my shoulder, while I go about my bussiness . L.C.

Silver, I'm not saying mice cant love you, I believe every animal is capable of loving a person. But the love I am talking about with a rat is the type where it comes up to you and actually kisses you, when you cry it comes and rubs its head on your face and licks away the tears. When you get home and you are greeted by a rat running up to you, climbing up your entire body just to snuggle against your neck. Although the rat shouldnt have been out of its cage, but you find its managed to work out how to open the door.. L.C , I find my rats are active and want to explore, but most of my boys like to just snuggle up in my lap or on my chest or neck and be patted while I watch TV or read a book. Activity in the cage wise, I've never really had any of my rats that interested in rodent wheels, every now and again I may get a baby who will go and use one every now and then, but when they become adults I've found they dont tend to want to be on the go that much. Unlike mice ... lol ...
