well i little off topic kinda, my female rat Ebony went through a stage that the colour and texture down the middle of her back went dark and thick, her sister on the other hand didn't. one day i noticed that the colour and texture change was gone and it went back to usual..

i do find it hard to believe a rat lasted 6 years old, my friend had one till 5 years and it lived alone its whole life and i find that a miracle.
