Hi Allie.. Choosing names is always the hardest! I don't think I am going to be much help, but the right name for your girl will come to you I called one of my girl's Little Girl because I couldn't think of anything, and now she gets called everything and anything!!

I've always had boys, and realise you have a cute little girl, but these are a few of the names I have had:
I've had Bracken, Beechen and Bailey all named after moles in the fabulous Duncton Wood Series.
I've also had an Elwood, from the Blues Brothers (no Jake, had/have a dog with that name).
And then a name like Kai that I found on the net and I just happened to like it!
Then there was Billy, after Billy Joel!
Others names ratties after a while on their personalities. It certainly can be a hard thing to do though, just remember there is no need to rush!
Hopefully this will give you some idea of some areas to look into for your names: Rats personalities, Movies, Books, Songs, Athletes, Greek Gods etc...

Then there was Billy, after Billy Joel! I called my little Billy after Billy Connelly hehe, but he was a very serious rat when he grew up lol. Allie, you could also take popular / famous names u like and then shorten them, for example we named our orange rat after an expensive scotch called Tallisker... so his name is Talli most the time. Say you like Shakira, you could call a girl ratty Kira that might help expand the list a bit hehe

Otherwise if you are having a lot of troubles, is there anything about their personality that grabs you and stands out? Maybe colourings or marking? Could be anything - post a picture if you can, we would love to see!!

either go for a different language to describe something about the rat (ie my boys blitzkrieg and kamikaze.. yes they earned those names)
i love giving pets a more human name. my cat's name is dave. he's awesome.
girl names for a rat: alice beryl barbara susan eeva flo
*shrugs* there's me 2 cents

hey i know im only a guest but i when my rat had babies, so we could tell them apart, we named them how there markings looked as they were hooded rats. Boys: Frodo- wise but always looking for food, off lord of the rings Double o seven- he was also very adventuress. Natzy boy - only because he had a swastica on his back. Rafecki - form the lion king - he was the wiser one also had a candycane shape on his back like the cane off lion king. mufusa- he was friends with rafecki munta- very laid back at times and loved to pull things apart which we loved bout him. Girls: Rose - had a rose on her back Butter- it looked like she had a butterfly on her back dot- the only one with a perfect dot on her back aroha- which is love in maori - she had a heart on her back my first rat i got i wanted to name him something fancey but in the end it just became buddy:)

Why? I think that Unit would make a cute name, but not the full thing. Each to their own though lol.

I don't know why but i've always thought Mini or Mimi would be a good female rat name.
