my step son once "painted" his white cat with food coloring
and whe I first heard of pet rats, I wanted an agouti
a girl friend "aquired" one for me.
after a few months, the color faded, and she admitted that she dyed him for me........

OK, I'm not REALLY admitting this... But... The other week I was air-brushing some bear bits (I make teddy bears) and airbrushing some stencils on jeans, and Oliver (dog) walked past... Now, he's a "blue" dog, well, black and white hairs, mostly cattle dog, but he has a fully WHITE end to his tail. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist!!! I just gave it a quick squirt as he walked past and VOILOIS, he had a HOT PINK tail end! Now, I certainly wouldn't recommend it for a small animal, such as a ratty, as I'd be really worried about - The toxins in the paint
- the 'cutting' effect of high velocity air
- the possibility of getting some paint in their eyes/noses etc.
The dog is big, and funny, and doesn't chew his tail... asy
