I would assume that because rats will get bored of the same food if eaten over and over they have taste buds like we do. Our tastes change because taste buds are always dieing and regrowing back so i cant see why it wouldn't be the same for our rattys to. Maybe that's something someone could experiment with. Find a food that your ratty just refuses to eat and every few months offer it again and see if they will one time choose to eat it.

That's a great idea! Would anyone here try that?

Hello,
I finally have my two beautiful boys! Manny and Basil... they are only young still but would you believe it, Manny doesn't like/ care for yogurt drops...
I was stunned! Basil will steal them and go and sit quielty with one, Manny will have a sniff and decide that playing "hide and seek"...also known as "o oh- where's the rat"... is far more fun.
I've only really have experience with pet stores rats that I used to work with... but they all LOVED yogurt drops.
This doesn't really have anything to do with kiwi fruit but reading through these posts made me think of it.
