Hi .. this is Kim ... I just wanted to let people know what we do currently have here in Australia ... again let me just state that some of these coat names or markings are not officially recognised by any Australian rat club, association or society... What we have is.. - Coats - Standard Rex (Single Rex) Double Rex Patchwork Rex Silk Silky Carasilk Powder Puff (which is similar to a silky) Velour - Colours - Silvered Black (black) Agouti Mink Dove Silvered Dove Champagne Buff/Beige PEW (pink eyed white) (albino) REW (ruby eyed white) (different to a PEW as eye colour is a dark red ruby) BEW (black eyed white) Topaz (fawn) Argent Silver Fawn Cinnamon Blue (various shades) - Markings - Self Hooded Berkshire Irish Variegated Varieberk (Drawings still being done) Capped Bareback Blazed - White triangle - can be on any other marking) Downunder (various types such a DU hooded, DU berkshire, DU spotted and so on) - DU Bershire - DU Hooded - DU Spotted Hooded - DU Spotted Patched (Drawing still coming) Dalmatian - more and more spots appear as the rat ages - they start off looking like BEW's and slowly more and more spots of colour apear.. New markings are starting to pop up like crazy now that we have BEW rats, such as the Patched. But for now the above markings, colours and coats are all we have in Australia.
